Music-streaming service Pandora joins the growing list of startups laying off employees to survive in a worsening economy. The company let go 20 people yesterday, or 14 percent of its staff.
Pandora, Ebay, Adbrite, Redfin, Hi5, Zillow, and more have all laid off employees in the past two weeks. The economic downturn is starting to take it’s toll on the tech sector. I anticipate more layoff announcements throughout the end of the year, and into 2009 as well, as recession and an economic slowdown take hold.
