No Love for the Netbooks

http://www.techcrunch.com/2009/01/06/here-come-the-12-inch-netbooks-and-intel-isnt-happy-about-it/

Personally I think netbooks are awesome, and are a great entry level way to bring mobile computing to the masses.  Apparently Intel doesn’t share the same sentiment, and views netbooks as cutting into their revenue stream for dual core laptop sales.  I disagree, and that in these tough economic times, Intel should be happy they’re selling briskly.  While Intel may fear netbooks and the Atom processor are canibalizing their Core 2 Duo chip sales, I think Intel should be happy they’re selling anything to consumers who are tightening their purse strings and curtailing spending.  And my 2 cents are always right.  So there.
