Oracle Buying Sun Microsystems, Hooray for Java Databases

http://www.techcrunch.com/2009/04/20/oracle-to-buy-sun-hold-on-to-your-hats/

IBM is out, Oracle is in as the new stepdad of Sun.  Oracle is paying $7.4 billion to buy Sun Microsystems, in a deal that will bring together the Database powerhouse and the Java / Server powerhouse.  Somebody please tell me why this is a strategic or cost effective move.  Because I don’t know.  I suppose we can now have Enterprise grade Java Databases?
