Cash4Gold, which turned to superstar celebrities Ed McMahon and MC Hammer to pitch their gold buying service, is actually making money. I know, I can’t beleive it either. They are making $30 million a year by having people mail them they’re crappy gold jewelry that’s so ugly they can’t possibly wear it in public, and then Cash4Gold sends them back cash money. Well I guess in a recession, people are hurting for money, and this may be a quick way to raise some capital. So I can’t make fun of that. And from a business standpoint, Gold is worth $1000 an ounce right now, so melting down these people’s crap is highly profitable. However, I will not overlook their shitty commercial and D-List celebrities, even if the point was to make fun of them. I’m not laughing with them, or at them, because they suck.
