So here’s an intersting one. The T-Mobile Sidekick has been acting finicky all week, and Microsoft (who manages the servers that actually contain all of the Sidekick user data) decided to upgrade a SAN at Danger’s datacenter. Unfortunately, it seems that upgrade didn’t work, and in the process, ALL DATA WAS LOST. No one thought to do a backup before attempting the upgrade? So if you have a T-Mobile Sidekick, DO NOT TURN IT OFF or let the battery die. Your content will be GONE. Calendars, contacts, pics, music, notes, conversations, im’s, texts, everything! All of that is stored in the cloud, on the Microsoft servers, not locally on the device. Keep that Sidekick charged until they figure out what the hell they’ve done!
